Brief introduction:
The new season of CSI will no longer use "Who are you" as the theme song, and the producers are considering whether to change the theme song to Clash's "Am I Going or Staying". In the final episode of the last season, Sara Sidle (Joria Fox) is trapped under a car in the Nevada desert by a serial killer who will soon drown her in a downpour of rain while Gil Grissom (William Petersen), her boyfriend and boss, and other investigators try to rescue her. Whether Sara can make it through depends on the condition of the car and whether Fox TV can renew her contract with the popular CBS actor. Will Sara stay at all? Production director Naren Shankar did not provide information. He said that the audience will be satisfied with the outcome, and in the new episode, everything will be revealed at the last moment. Rumours about Sara's fate spread throughout the summer, with official sources revealing that a new female character will appear in the third episode of the new season, which production director Carol Mendelsohn said could be a field investigator or a technical analyst. But he also refused to reveal what Sara's fate would be. Shanka said about the launch of the new season on September 27 that viewers can discover the truth in this episode. In the final episode of the previous season, the killer left Grissom with a miniature crime scene. In the first episode of the eighth season, the set designer built a life-size model in a Hollywood studio, including a hydraulically lifted car and 28,000 gallons of water. Shankar has repeatedly stated that he is skeptical that Fox TV will be able to accept this kind of filming. As part of the shoot, Sara was trapped under her car, surrounded by circulating water. Shankar said he was a little nervous, and even though Joria was an experienced actor and almost 100 percent safe on shooting, you couldn't help but get a knot in your stomach when you saw this kind of scene. It may be a little scary, but during the filming, some other crew members who were not going to play in this scene also came to watch. "They were amazed by our set," Shankar said. "When they saw the set, they were blown away by these things." It feels like I'm in the middle of it.
