Brief introduction:
After a disastrous date and an unexpected wedding to their parents, Alex, Valerie, and Laura are determined to leave the home and rebuild their lives. But how easy is that? Despite the presence of new friends, new business partners, new boyfriends and new girlfriends, it was only a temporary "distraction", and the dysfunctional family remained as firmly attached to them as a magnet. Dylan Gelula plays Aubrey, a student at Laura's new school in the second season, who is very confident and likes to sarcastically mock people. His level of intelligence is on par with Laura's, and he is expected to be Laura's closest friend. Britt Robertson plays Fallon, Jordon's (Vincent Kartheiser)'s assistant, who is smart, cynical, sarcastic, and has his own agendas. This is the second time she has worked with producer and series creator Liz Tigelaar after Life Unexpected. Kyle Bornheimer plays the multi-episode character Jack, Michaela's main love interest in the second season. He seems to have a set of opinions on everything, he can do whatever he wants, and he wants what he wants. Britt Lower plays the multi-episode character Sarah Finn and is Alex's ex-girlfriend. She has a new fiancé...... But she re-entered Alex's life. Katie Aselton plays the role Jennifer in multiple episodes. She is a new physiotherapist who has just rented an empty office next door to Valerie. Jennifer is calm and experienced, and has a group of old friends with whom she has been friends for many years. Jennifer has successfully transitioned her life after her divorce, and Valerie would love to be a part of her life circle. Julie Berman was promoted to a regular cast member in the second season, where she played Leia, Valerie's assistant, in the first season.
