In order to save his ailing mother (Rosario Dawson), Gunner (Lonnie Chavez) sets out to find the mythical figure who holds the secret of eternal life, the Water Man. With the help of a mysterious local girl, Joe (Aamir Miller), they travel together to the remote forest of Bronco Town. But as they go deeper, the forest becomes stranger and more dangerous. And Gunner's father (David Oyero) is their only hope of being rescued, and he will stop at nothing to find them and will discover his son's true identity in the process.
