In 1980, steel mills on the banks of the Meuse River in Belgium closed one after another, forcing thousands of workers to find alternative livelihoods, including Fabrice, a steelworker living in Therland. He was originally proud of his rich knowledge of steel and superb business skills, but he felt as if he had become a useless person overnight, and he has been in a state of collapse ever since. His wife, Celine, who loved him deeply, made all kinds of efforts to help her husband cheer up, but she still didn't say goodbye to him.
