Brief introduction:
Who are the heroes of our time? Political celebrities? Film star? Sports star? Maybe...... But what about the heroes of everyday life? It's the parents who worked so hard to raise us. In the eyes of filial sons, the mother is the most revered "superhero". Meet our "superhero" Frankie Heck (played by Patricia Heaton). She has three identities: a good wife, a good mother, and a used car salesman. What's so special about her? She lives in the middle of the United States, lives a middle-class life, is close to middle age, and everything in her life has the word "middle". What "superpowers" does she have? Serve her husband Mike (Neil Flynn) comfortably every morning, and then send the three children out of the house safely! Frankie Heck and Mike have lived in the small town of Jasper (Indiana) all their lives, sandwiched between two factories – a pastry factory and a tire factory. The air Jasper's residents breathe depends on what kind of wind blows that day. Maybe what you smell is a sweet cake in the morning turns into a pungent rubber smell in the afternoon. Mike, a man of few words, but certainly an astonishing man, works as the manager of the town's quarry. Frankie, on the other hand, worked at a local second-hand car dealership and ranked third. However, there are only three salesmen in the car dealership...... She may not be able to work enough, she can't be a strong woman, and she can't get ahead. But as soon as she returns home, the time for her to "show her strength" has come. Frankie's eldest son, Axel (played by Charlie McDermott), loves daydreaming, loves guns and roses, and loves all things iconoclastic; Daughter Sue (played by Eden Sher) is always careless, and although she has a wide range of hobbies, she achieves nothing; The youngest son, Brick (played by Atticus Shaffer), who is only 7 years old, has no friends other than his school bag. It is a sitcom that depicts family relationships, without the ups and downs of the plot and without the flashy atmosphere. This play uses plain stories to tell the audience: family always comes first. No matter what you do, you should unite your family and form a family synergy.
