The play is adapted from the novel "City Primeval: High Noon In Detroit" by Elmore Leonard, the original author of "Hotline Detective", which tells the story of Raylan, who has left Kentucky for Miami after 8 years, to continue to work as a bailiff and raise a 14-year-old daughter. However, an encounter on the Florida Highway leads him to Detroit, where he encounters a sociopathic maniac, the Oklahoma Savage, whom the local police are unable to do anything about, and now he wants to escape justice again.
