During this period, tremendous changes took place in China, the New Culture Movement set off a trend of Western learning from the East, the dawn of Marxism shone into China for the first time, the May Fourth Movement held high the banner of freedom and democracy, and the smoke of warlordism aggravated the suffering of the Chinese people...... On the historical stage of this stormy meeting, the forces of all parties are surging, the strange situation is full of fog, and the fate of the country and the nation is like a flat boat in the bleak and cold wind, and life and death are only in a moment. In the past few years, when the country and the nation were in danger, Mao Zedong had great ambitions and perseverance to find a way to save the country and the people, and gradually grew from a young student to a staunch Marxist.
