Brief introduction:
The play is based on the real revolutionary experience and outstanding achievements of Cai Wei, one of the founders of the radio communication industry during the Red Army, and tells the story of the unsung heroes who fought the battle of deciphering and counter-deciphering radio codes with the enemy, and made great contributions to the victory of the Red Army's Long March. After the counter-revolutionary coup d'état on April 12, Cai Zeyun returned to Shanghai to look for an organization, and in order not to reveal his family's identity, Cai Zeyun assumed the alias Cai Wei and met the CCP Tek Mingsong, Xia Xia and others in the radio training class. In the process of preparing for the construction of the first red radio station of our party, Cai Zeyun's identity as a party member was confirmed and he officially joined the construction of the radio station. Later, he was ordered to go to the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet District with Xu Zhengye, Qu Xiangdong and others to prepare for the establishment of a radio station. Arriving in the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Region, Cai Wei gave full play to his radio expertise, and together with Xu Zhengye and Qu Xiangdong, he set up the first radio station for the Red Fourth Front Army, and also trained a group of radio talents. After the radio station was operating normally, Cai Wei was not willing to accept that the radio could only be used to send and receive telegrams, but he pondered the mission of listening to the enemy's military situation, and used the knowledge he had learned and his understanding of the enemy Huang Jibi to decipher the Kuomintang's codes again and again, and to gain timely insight into the enemy's troop movements, thus providing powerful intelligence support for the Red Army in the Soviet area to defeat the enemy army. When the Long March was about to be victorious, Cai Wei sacrificed his precious life at the age of 29 in a small border town in Gansu due to overwork.
